Since the early 1980’s, the annual Minnowbrook Microelectronics Conference has addressed moisture control in microelectronics, mainly related to hermeticity, leak physics, TM 1014, TM 1018 and TM 5011, and measurements for moisture control in hermetic packages. The Minnowbrook Microelectronics Conference is an informal gathering of experts from industry, academia and government.
There are no published proceedings or minutes. It is designed to promote sharing of problems and solutions among like-minded scientists and engineers. Attendees are expected to make technical contributions and there is a long standing rule…. “no marketing allowed”.
During the past few years we have experienced more participation from engineers in the medical device industry, especially those involved with the manufacture of high reliability implanted Class III medical products. We welcome this as there is a lot of technical and quality issues that are common to both aerospace and implanted medical microelectronics.
As a colleague with interests in microelectronic device packaging integrity you will find this conference well worth your time.
If you are interested in attending and have something of technical value to share with others then please contact me and I’ll provide you with additional details.
